I would like for you all to meet my latest creation, Joy Moon. She's my muse and she's made of polymer clay, sugar, spice and everything nice....oh and lots of love of course.
She'll be spending most of her time keeping me company in my art studio, warding off creative blocks and giving me endless inspiration :)
This was Joy after she came out of the oven. She's looking a little out of sorts in this picture but not for long....
Doesn't she look smashing? 'After putting her together, I painted her face, added some funky hair, made her some clothes and last but not least designed her some customized bling. I love love love her sooooo much and hope you do too :) xoxo
Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you. ~ Tao Tzu
This is something I try to remind myself of each day. Being content with what is is everything. Sometimes this truth is a hard one to find when life gets tough but more than once it's brought peace into my heart.
We've all had relationships in our lives where we come to a point where we need to either let go or do our best to heal and understand past hurts. Many times, depending on how important the relationship is to the both of you, all it takes is a heart to heart to get down to the root of the hurt so love and peace can thrive.
'Toxic' was inspired by this quote by Michael Josephson.
'You will know that forgiveness has begun when you recall those who hurt you and feel the power to wish them well'

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks of acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him. ~ Buddha
Title: This Light of Mine
Art Therapy Page #6
I've learned a valuable lesson this week. Sometimes we dim our light for others and when they realize what you're doing they tell you you should't worry about it and are completely cool with you freely expressing yourself. So if you do this, stop and think twice, your light is your light and nothing you do can dim anothers. Just keep on shining, your light may inspire others to do the same :)
After what seemed to be a very tumultuous week, I felt the need to lock myself up with my paints and work through some of this past weeks troubles. With each stroke of the brush I could feel the stress releasing itself from my body and in place of it came this piece 'Soul Reflection'. I've felt for sometime this painting had been hidden within my minds eye, waiting for the right time to come out. I'm so glad it finally decided to reveal itself to reality today.
Love the elegance of crystal apothecary jars and wanted something one-a-kind that noone else would have. So I set out on the town to find what I needed to make my own! Who would have thought a crystal candle stick, abandoned lid and sherry glass could be transformed into something this pretty :)
