Having a real christmas tree has come to be our holiday tradition. Our tree has no sense of colour coordination or theme, but holds ornaments crafted by my children, ornaments given to us by friends and family, some even hold photos of my children celebrating christmas' past.
My kids cringes when I ooh and ahh over their handmade ornaments but I know, years from now, they too will look at these as christmas treasures and the sentimental value they hold.
Starlight Starbright...
Merry Christmas Everyone!

I love trees with souls. I go into some houses with magnificent trees but lack the love factor! I have a friend with four children, a gorgeous house and the best part-all the kids art around the house! I still put my daughter's handmade decorations out every year-she's 26 now and they keep coming out. It's like visiting your child again every time they come out. She's an adult mother now but when I pull those little mouse prints made from her tiny finger prints I am transported back to a time when she was my little girl. This is the real meaning of Christmas to me, not the presents under the tree. Your home looks lovely too! Have a wonderful holiday. xoxo Mary
I can totally relate Mary! My kids are 15 and 17, hanging their ornaments brings a glimps of christmas magic back into our house each year :) Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Your house is lovely. I hestitate to use a real tree. I have an evil cat who eats Christmas decorations (he ate a very special ornament made by a friend) and climbs the tree.
I agree with Mary. Professional decorated trees are very...heartless and cool.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
